Community Involvement

For more than 100 years, our commitment and involvement in the community has been an important part of the way we do business. We’re proud to support our local organizations, area schools and our community activities. It’s our way of saying thank you for allowing us to be your neighbor. We call it KCTC Helping Hands.

As a company policy, KCTC employees are offered up to 3 days a year for volunteer efforts in and around our community. Team members are encouraged to get involved in their communities by lending their voluntary support to programs that enrich the quality of life and opportunities for all citizens.

The following is a sampling of some of the community contributions made by KCTC:

  • Kalona Chamber of Commerce (Board Member)
  • TPM (Tourism, Promotion and Marketing) Steering Committee
  • Kalona Rotary Club

KCTC Employees Casey Peck, Rory White, & James Graham recently assisted the Kalona Public Library with their annual book Sale! A tremendous effort is put forth to set up for this event each year. This year the books were put on display in record time thanks to the volunteerism from KCTC and others in the Community.

Luann Miller took advantage of KCTC’s volunteer day program to freshen up the numerous flower beds surrounding Pleasantview retirement community. Click the thumbnails to view a larger image.

KCTC employees Rory White, Casey Peck and Crystal Rath, gave an iPad presentation to the attendees of Pleasantview’s Aging Well group in July. Topics in the presentation ranged from basic setup such as connecting to a wireless internet signal, to utilizing custom settings such as increasing font size for easier reading. Click the thumbnails to view a larger image.
